The film, Autism: The Musical, helped me to better understand Christopher in The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time in many ways. The Film talked about Autism as a neurological disorder that sometimes made sounds and colors seem more intense for the people who have it. It said that some of these people are non-verbal while others are highly verbal and it can cause children to "be in their own world." The film's description of the disorder helped me to understand why, in the book, Christopher did a lot of the things he did such as groaning when it is too loud for him. Henry, from the film, reminded me most of Christopher. The film stated that Henry has Asperger's syndrome, a form of Autism, that is possibly the same form of Autism Christopher has. Henry did not like loud noises and doesn't really like to socialize. Henry also is very smart in specific things such as reptiles and dinosaurs. Christopher also doesn't like loud noises and does not do much socializing. Christopher says that he does not like chatting, which he describes as "Where people say things to each other which aren't questions and answers and aren't connected" (Haddon 40.) Also, Christopher is very smart when it comes to maths and sciences, just like Henry is with dinosaurs. The other children in the movie also did things similar to the things that Christopher does. Adam, an eight year old from the film, screamed when his mom tried to grab him, and then he ran to hide. Christopher also does not like being touched, as demonstrated when the police officer tried to grab him to pick him up. Overall, the film didn't necessarily help me to understand exactly why people with Autism do the things they do, but seeing real children with Autism helped me better understand some of the things Christopher does.

the relations between the book and the movie

I feel like Henry relates to Christopher a little better. Henry has a passion for dinosaurs and Christopher is really interested in math and numbers. They both focus on one thing at the moment. They block out everything else around them. They want to find out more and more about it and they don’t put anything else in their minds. In the movie the kids with autism didn’t associate with the other kids at school, and that was similar to Christopher. They all show more interest in what is around them little bit more than people without autism do. They lack the emotions to understand other people and that disconnects them from the humans. But they all showed some what connection to each other. Some of them related little more than the others. Henry showed the most relation because he was interested in one thing and focused on it. Christopher screams and blocks out when he feels like there is too much information coming at him at the same time. The kids in the movie went to the corner of the room when they felt frustrated. People with autism see things differently then people who don’t have it. They see and experience things that we don’t usually bother looking at. They have their own little world inside their minds, which they go to just to be safe and calm. Christopher relates to these kids in so many levels that a person with autism would only understand. People don’t understand why they do the things they do, and they thing it’s weird but they just don’t understand it.

The film help me understand a lot about the charter Christopher in The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time because the film show us how the kids with autism behavior. For me what help most understand Christopher in film was Neal because he has behavior problem just Christopher descried in his book. Also in the book I could not understand when he said don’t like people touch him, but the film make it so much clear because show it us why most Autism’s people Locke emotions and how they don’t like lone noise. How they don’t like bight light. In the film it also said most the autism kids are scarred of the world so it crazy so that why they are in their only litter world. That why Christopher is his only litter world. In the book it Christopher feel more around dogs and rats than human being. It also said Christopher spends most of his time playing computer games and hanging out with his pet rat. That show us that Christopher don’t fit in the human but he think fit more wit animals. In the film there this boy name Henry and he like most Christopher because they both in their world. They are both very intelligent in their our way. Henry is good at one subject and the subject is dinosaur. Christopher is good at math and science. Henry has too much thing on in head so don’t talk to kids that much. He is same as Christopher and Christopher said he like computer . He has to close eye when there too much in head. Most Autism and Asperge’s syndrome kids are very good one subjects

My paper is about how many people think that being in the military justifies killing people. I, however, do not believe so. I believe that we don't have to use violence to resolve conflicts. I believe that we can do this like negotiations to not have to put people in danger. I also believe that when the military justifies killing people, the people in the military dehumanize the people they kill. This is wrong and leads to my last opinion against this issue. I think that we are all equal and we are all human beings. We are a part of one of the smartest species around and to take away a life with a gunshot is wrong.

Yo, high school failed to teach me how to manage my time. I say this because, this is how i feel right now. when I started to go to college, I did not know what to do and when to do it. but when I used to go to high school I had so much free time that this issue was not a problem. man high school coused this. If only they gave me some kinds of excercise to teach me that college would not be fun in games and time would be a critical issue, then man I would of know that I had to get it together.

One possiility is that your high school prepared you better for college than the high schools your classmates attended.Even a good student at a average high school may struggle with the more careful stress of a college set of courses because they're not prepared for the course load or they never learned how to write proper essay.Also,many bright students are able to coast through high school. There's so much repetition that they can only half pay attention,is covered once and then the professorr moves on.If your notes aren't good and you haven't read the course materrial,you aren't going to remember what you need to know for exams.So the edge in college really goes to students who've learned how to discipline themselves to take good notes,read the coursework and study for exams.

Who wants to die? no body, but Smokers. why i do i say this? because smoking is a sign of death. smoking causes variety of diseases and kills you. the funny thing is smokers are aware of their concequences, but why do they smoke?

The fact is people smoke because they think is fascinating. mostly teenagers smoke to be mature or to act mature. grown people smoke to reduce their pressure or stress. overall people smoke to be sociable. this is a life taking risk, we shouldn't be playing around with, its not sociable. it doesn't reduce your pressure its puts under pressure. teenagers should know that being mature is making the right choice. smokers should rethink about their concequences.

breaking the rules

Did we ever stop and ask why we break the rules almost everyday? we ignore the rules and live everyday as we didn't do anything wrong. whats so interesting about this is , we choose the rules we want to break. for example we wont go to the street and kill someone, but we will speed or plagiarize, and even lie. why do we do these things over and over again? we do these things because we don't think the consequences will be major or we we wont get caught.but is it really worth it to break all of these rules and think its OK because we wont get caught? well i think not, matter fact i think we should make an overt to follow the rules in general. even though we have people who force the rules on us we still don't follow them. think about why we even have these rules and the reason behind it. if it wasn't for our safety we wouldn't even have these rules. so when you break a rule think about the harm you might cause. and what if someone gets hurt because you didn't care. its all of these things we should be thinking before we even think about breaking a rule. and who knows it can really change the way we think about all of these rules.

Do most of us knew about the Somali Pirates? May be we saw on the new the pirates hijacking the foreign ships.But do we know what draws those people to became pirates?i believe that every thing start with reason because being pirates is not good idea and no one want to interrupt the foreign ships.the reasons that made them to became pirates are illegal fishing, dumping of toxic waste, every thing they had was being taking away they fisherman in Somalia tried to stop the trawlers fishing in their water but they couldn't.imagine a father in Somalia who tries to feed his family and the food he bringing home is poisoned fish. the industries use to hire the fisherman stopped working after they found died fishes. people who lived near the sea found skin diseases respiratory infections they get after they eat poisoned fishes. and the people organized them selves to attack those ships and later turned into pirates.

I think traveling is more important to me because when I traveling for any country that time I can learn a lot thing ,it could be language , culture , more communicated with different people , also the religion that can I more understand what they belief every country . Confessions of a Workaholic

Is it just me or does it kind of seem like jobs control the planet? I mean, obviously they're important and necessary, that's not what i mean. They control the planet by controlling the minds of everyone on it! I've had enough with people putting their jobs before everything else for convenience. HOW DOES YOUR JOB MAKE YOUR LIFE MORE CONVENIENT?! The problem is the way we look at it. We buy things to save time so we can work more but would all that extra work be necessary if we didn't waste the money on some stupid time saving meal or other convenient purchase. Think about it, someone who works every day and gets a thirty minute lunch break probably quickly runs to a restaurant and probably spends a couple bucks on a quick meal that they cant take back to the office. Of course they need a quick meal because they have to get back to work! Think about how much money someone working five to seven days a week could save if they started bringing their food from home. No one would even have to leave their desk to get food! Then they wouldn't miss a minute of work time. But hey, if they're not spending all that money, maybe they can afford to miss a little work time since they won't be needing all that money for their expensive take out food! The other time and money saving strategy would just be being satisfied with what we have! Why do we always need the next best thing when what we have is perfectly functionable? Just like working for money for food, we work so much to buy nice things! Now, that is not where the problem lies. Of course we are allowed to treat ourselves when we work hard to earn money. The problem is not being happy with it! An Example? Perhaps you know someone who just bought a brand new television. They probably put in a lot of time at work to afford that TV. So when are they gonna watch it? They'll probably tell you that now that they have it, how much do you want to bet that they are going to go back hard to work so they can go buy some other nice thing. We need to live in the moment, think about what our families and friends need from us for once instead of always thinking about what our job needs from us. Take a step back and look at the order in which you've placed your priorities!

Non Shopaholic

Why do people love shopping? Shopping is a stressful experience. There are always pushy staff who will always force you into buying products that you do not want. How is shopping fun when you always end up going to the mall shoppping from one store to another. How could you enjoy shopping when all you hear is different loud music from each store? The worst part about shopping is when you find something you like, you must always try it on and see if it fits on correctly. Shopping is not a fun experience, its a stressful experience. How could you shop when ever store you go to has pushy staff who give u a fake smile and try to convince you into buying their products. When you tell them that you dont want their products, their smiles will automacitly fall from their face. How could you enjoy shopping when all you hear all day is loud music coming from different stores. That really gives me a big headache. Shopping is not fun at all.
